Green TnT calls for Trinidad and Tobago to Participate in Earth Hour

Local environmental website greentnt.org is calling on all Trinidad and Tobago Citizens to participate in Earth Hour and get involved in working towards a sustainable future in Trinidad and Tobago.

Monique Walker of Green TnT (www.greentnt.org) made the request on the websites Facebook Group yesterday emphasizing that the action of each individual on a mass scale can help change Trinidad and Tobago and our planet for the better. The global event takes place on March 28th 2009 at 8.30pm during which citizens of Trinidad and Tobgo are asked to join millions of others around the world and turn their lights off for one hour. There are 8,760 hours (approximately, depending on who you ask!)in one year. Earth hour is asking everyone to turn off their light for just one of those hours.

Green TNT has recently been involved in a number of local projects to help preserve the islands of Trinidad and Tobago, most recently the Foreshore Cleanup in Port of Spain. To find out more and become involved in Green TnT efforts visit their website for the links below.

    do we really are about enviormental issues in Trinidad & Tobago. when we could continue bulding smelter inspite of court orders. we jsut like to go with the international flow as a show, but never really in the national intreast
