The King of Pop passed away on Thursday 25th June 2009 and Fans around the world today are hailing him as The Last Great Pop star. In Trinidad and Tobago those growing up in the 1980s would no doubt have been influenced by his music.

There are lots of things I remember about Michael Jackson. After all as young boys growing up, he made sought after the girls that fit the description of his Liberian Girl. He had we going crazy over the infamous jacket he wore in Beat It. You rocked your gloves on one hand if you were into break dancing back then, and as pointed out by a friend, he introduced the world to the anti-gravity lean in the Smooth Criminal video. Michael is a legend. You only need to take a look at his wikipedia bio to see what I mean. RIP the King of POP, you re-defined the art of making music video and paved the way for a jumber of other artist.

I can't remember how old I was..but I do remember it was in front the TV...lol...the video was Thriller. My favorite Michael Jackson song...omg...there's so much...I'd say...THRILLER... I dont have one, but I know someone at work that does...Jizanne wear dat jacket today eh. I will always remember MJ for all the work he did in music. He contributed alot for black ppl - breaking barriers all over the world. He was a man loved the world over. Anyone with an impact such as his can only be remembered forever in our hearts and minds. I WAS 3 OR 4 MY DAD IS A FAN AND HE PLAYED HIS MUSIC AT MY BDAY. COULD OF BEEN B4. LADY OF MY LIFE IS MY ALL TIME FAVORITE. IT HAS ALOT OF SENTIMENTAL MEANINGS TOWARDS MY RELATIONSHIP I HAVE WITH MY LOVER AND BEST FRIEND.WORDS CANT EXSPRESS THE HURT AND JOY I FEEL. HURT BECAUSE WE HAVE LOST A MAN THAT BROKE SO MANY BARRIERS AS WELL AS RECORDS AND JOY BECAUSE HE NOW RESTS IN PEACE AND WILL B REMEMBERED AND CHERISHED IN OUR HEARTS ALWAYS.
