Nadia Batson

She shot to fame in 2006 with her Zouk-inspired hit "One Island", but this sultry songstress spent many years behind the scene penning numerous chart-topping singles for other Soca artist such as Michelle Sylvester and Terry Seales, and providing her much sought-after background vocals to many more.

It was Nadia's composition, "Sleeping in Your Bed" that won Michelle Sylvester the International Soca Queen and Groovy Soca Monarch in 2005. Since then, she has given us hits such as "Caribbean Girl", "Mind Yuh Business", "My Posse" and "My Land" which she sang with Kees Dieffenthaller of Kes the Band, with whom she is the lead female vocalist.

Her passion however, is not limited to music. The multi-talented Nadia also manages her own booking agency and clothing/shoe store, Fashion Over Styles. Nadia's 2009 single "Bumpers Rule" on the "Fix It Up" Riddim was a heavy favourite at the Carnival fetes. She also released "Champions", "Play Mas" and "Road Block" in 2009, which is a collaboration with Ms. Alysha.
