KMC began his musical career as a dancehall artist. In 1998, he ventured into the world of Soca, making an impressive entrance with songs like "Kaya", "Bashment to Carnival" and "Soca Bashment", also the title of his first CD. To date, he has released 10 CD's including 4 compilations. He has also produced songs for other leading Soca artistes such as Machel Montano, Denise Belfon, Destra Garcia, Bunji Garlin and Maximus Dan.
In 2005, KMC was signed to the American music label Sequence Records. His debut album on the label, entitled "Soul on Fire", after the album's first single, entered the Billboard Top 200 at number 84.
In 2009, KMC continued to whet the appetites of partygoers with songs such as "Living Water", "Am Not Drunk" and "Yeast".
