The Caribbean Gospel Music Marlin Awards, based in Nassau, Bahamas, is the premier award for gospel music in the Caribbean. The Awards Ceremony will be held in the Bahamas in October 2010, where the winners will be announced.
Russell released his debut album Culture of Love in March 2009. His first video recording which was done for his hit song "Troubles Won’t Last" will be released this week, a fitting tribute to its nomination as Inspirational Recording of the Year.
On the release of the video, Russell says, “My prayer is that as the song has ministered to me, may it continue to bless the hearts of all who hear it and now see this video. Please be a blessing to somebody! My special thanks to Jason Riley, Nadella Riley, Millhouse.”
And on the Album’s nominations, he says “This is really great and welcome news! The Album continues to garner awards and recognition. In my life I’m Grateful. I give thanks: thanks to God, to the production team of Cleon Richardson and Keith Kirk who worked very hard on the project, to Christophe Pierre whose creativity and support ensured that the Album was nominated for “Packaging of the Year”, and to all our supporters.
