Los Cantantes Festivos is affiliated with the UWI Arts Chorale at the Department of Creative and Festival Arts at the St. Augustine Campus. In its five years of existence, this parang group has distinguished itself by performing to the delight of audiences young and old at corporate functions, school workshops and charity events. Comprised mainly of music educators, Los Cantantes Festivos performs a unique selection of parang, latin flavours and local Christmas selections which always leave audiences on their feet calling for more.
The Diamond Vale Government Primary School Steel Ensemble and Choir have been an integral part of the school's extra curricular activities for the past 15 years. The choir was adjudged the Most Outstanding Folk Song Choir at the 2008 Biennial Music Festival of Trinidad and Tobago. Both the steel ensemble and choir have performed extensively at corporate and community events around the country and the steel ensemble hopes to make its debut tour to the Aberdeen International Youth Festival in Scotland in July 2010.
